This is an excellent teaching tool for helping students make the connection between the keys on the piano and the location of notes on the grand staff. Learning is made easier with color coded notes: blue (high treble notes), yellow (treble notes), red (bass notes), and green (low bass notes).

Teachers may start students with the yellow treble notes, then the red bass notes. After the student is successful placing tiles correctly on these registers, they can then learn the high treble and low bass registers. When they are proficient in knowing all the notes on the grand staff, then students may place the tiles on all the C's, D's, E's, etc.
