Paris Without You
This creative and inspiring work is a piece for solo tenor saxophonist and orchestra with jazz quartet accompaniment. In performing this piece, it is preferable to have a tenor saxophonist who is equally comfortable in an orchestral setting as in a jazz quintet setting. Though all the jazz quintet parts are very specifically written with either chord voicings or suggested solos, there is room for improvisation in these parts - but using a keen ear and direction to know when to align properly with the orchestra.
