In the middle section the tune goes to the organ strings while the flute provides lyrical decoration, after which the flute embroiders the melody above broken chords on the organ flute celeste 8' and 4'. During the final section flute and organ assertively toss the melody back and forth with ever-increasing volume and speed and the flute playing in its top register.
