Night Vision

(from the album Orange Alert)
Pete Carney - Interactive Listening
Publisher Desc.  Inspired by Miles Davis, Portishead, Wayne Shorter, and J Dilla, Night Vision is voiced for small flexible or large instrumentation using the language of Gil Evans...but spoken with the accent of Chicago hip hop. This chart has an easy solo section for all types of players, but challenging soli passages, and riffs. From Trip Hop to Jazz, this large or small combo arrangement is both accessible and modern. Night Vision was first performed at the Rochester International Jazz Festival by Orange Alert, and later at jazz festivals in Europe. In print for the first time, Added parts are included for your classical neighbors. Invite your friends from the bus: violin, viola, cello, F horn, flute, bass clarinet, and even clarinet 2 players into an underground world between jazz, Debussy, and lofi. Night Vision is a deep twitchy loop machine with big modal harmonies, inviting everyone to take a ride in the accessible D minor solo section.
