Publisher Desc.  Night Song is a traditional German folk song. This version is arranged for xylophone, vocals (2part), and piano accompaniment. It is best used for 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grades. Feel free to adjust the instrumentation for your classroom needs. For example, if your students have difficulty singing two part music, have all your singers sing the melody. Whatever suits the needs of your classroom. It encourages classroom cooperation due to the ensemble structure. It's a great concert piece. I used this for my elementary classroom and found the students liked it because they had a choice of singing or playing the xylophone. You can even add some unpitched rhythm instruments if necessary.
