Melodic Composing
Letting your students be creative is one of the best parts of being a music educator. This is a great way to get them started with melodic composing! When students begin to compose, starting out can be a little difficult. Giving students parameters, as this resource does, makes things so much easier for them and allows them to create their own masterpiece! Includes several different options, directions, and methods of composing to allow students to be successful and to fit the teacher's style.
- Compose with solfege syllables
- Compose with notes on the staff (includes first ledger line below the staff to top of staff chromatic as well as a blank page of staff cards)
- Composition broken down into rhythm and solfege melodic elements for younger students
- Pattern writing
- Three- and five-line staff options for the youngest students
- Let students compose by placing notes in a grid or by writing rhythmic patterns and adding solfege to the patterns before writing on the staff
