The traditional Latin "eternal light" text is brought to life in this a cappella work. With plenty of room for rubato and dynamic expression, this piece employs a variety of choral textures with an approach that is simple yet elegant. Efficient part-writing achieves occasional dissonance with minimal divisi, and a descant illuminates the final moments of this setting.
