Publisher Desc.  No Bridges (Vashon Suite) was commissioned by the Vashon Island Chorale and artistic director Dr. Gary Cannon. Composed to celebrate the occasion of the Vashon Island Chorale's 25th Anniversary in 2014, the Suite's eleven songs celebrate the history, geography and romance of Vashon Island. Composer Bronwyn Edwards wrote the lyrics and music. Leonosa -- a rousing sea-shanty -- is the third song in the Suite, depicting the story of the brig that transported Vashon Island's lumber to San Francisco during the Gold Rush.
