Publisher Desc.  Journey to Faraway Places is a pedagogical piece for orchestral ensembles at middle schools or high schools. I wanted to challenge myself last night and see how much I could compose within one hour, and this is the product of it! I was inspired by the narrative, story-telling pieces that I used to play in my middle school orchestra and high school orchestra programs. The "journey" part of this piece is represented with the shifts in tonicization. My personal favorite part is the viola soli in the E-flat Mixolydian section; I personally play the violin, but the viola needs to get more love. Enjoy!
