This exceptional collection of four Israeli folk songs fills an important niche in the literature for string orchestra. Each familiar melody is skillfully arranged so that each instrument has a chance to play part of the tune. Accompanying parts are given countermelodies as often as possible, thereby giving all students challenging and interesting parts to play.
