Five on Winds

Woodwind Quintet in three movements: 1.Movin'Along is chromatic and contrapuntal, 3 themes transported among the instruments, endig with a flourish in counterpoint. 2.Slow Winds opens with the clarinet in a bluesy mood. Oboe, followed by the horn, brings in a second theme, which is a hint of the first movement. Counterpoint paves the way for sharing the melodies and accompaniment 3. Faster Winds is rhythmic, with the instruments moving together, ending with special effects in each instrument, winding down for a calm ending
