Five Hebrew Love Songs
(Soprano Solo with Piano, Violin, and Tambourine)
Eric Whitacre - Walton Music
Five Hebrew Love Songs
With texts written by Hila Plitmann and inspired by a reunion of musician friends in Germany, each song in this suite is a poetic postcard that captures every lush, romantic moment in full. Originally composed in this format for soprano solo, the suite was later adapted into choral versions for mixed and treble choirs. This solo version is an expressive and idiomatic set of songs scored for soprano, piano, violin, and tambourine (played by the singer). This package provides everything needed for performance: two full scores (for soprano and piano accompanist) and one violin score (tambourine part is included in the full score). Songs include: Temuna; Kala kalla; Larov; Eyze sheleg; Rakut.
