Fast Break! is a high velocity contemporary piece that will make the band sound full while they perfect the syncopated rhythms, different articulations and dynamic contrasts. Though the tempo marking says 140+, it sounds great even at slower tempos. The band will love the trade-offs between the percussion and the winds. The snare part has some easy 16th note rhythms to challenge the early bloomers and the clarinet part stays below the break.
