Fauré's Pavanne, originally written for the piano but often performed by an orchestra, translates well to handbells or handchimes. The setting provides an excellent opportunity for choirs to develop the melody line by paying special attention to dynamic markings. This version may be somewhat challenging, but the melody repeats throughout the score, making it easier once learned.
