A cappella Publisher Desc.  Elements is a set a three pieces based on poems commissioned for an episode of NPR's show RadioLab. Each poem approaches an element in the periodic table from a different direction. "Hydrogen" is directly about the element and how it has been around since the beginning and is in everything. "I Carried Your Oxygen" is a memory of the poet carrying his aunt's oxygen tank through a restaurant. "Happy Valenetine's Day, Magnesium" is a love song to...magnesium. Each piece is composed in a different style - aleatoric to jazz - and can be performed together or separately.
