Publisher Desc.  This classic Holiday carol arrangement is an energetic jazz-samba chart that also includes sections of swing and funk. It calls for doubling in the reeds with Alto 1 on soprano sax, and Tenor 1 on piccolo. The solo section is open to piccolo, trumpet 2, trombone 1, guitar, and piano. The meter stays the same during the solos, but the rhythm section plays a 1/2 time funk feel. Auxiliary percussion can be added for a fuller Samba groove. Many other carol quotes are inserted for the avid listener.
