Publisher Desc.  Heinrich Domnich (1767-1844) was professor of horn specializing in cor basse at the Paris Conservatory from 1795 until 1817. This Concerto No.2 was composed between 1797 and 1802 and was likely premiered on April 8 1804. Domnichs second solo work is for second cor (second horn) or low horn and may be said to be particularly idiomatic of Domnich's style.
