This is a superb collection of traditional folksongs arranged in a classical setting. There are a wide variety of different tunes, from Greensleeves,to Swing Low, Sweet Chariot and When Johnny Comes Marching Home, just to list a few. The levels range from late intermediate to early advanced. The arrangements are bursting with key modulations and different variants on the same simple melody, almost like a theme and variations form. Highly recommended. Students of all ages will enjoy the originality of this collection.
