Chichester Psalms
Composed in 1965 for the Cathedral of Chichester in Sussex, England, this massive choral statement in three movements was conceived when Leonard Bernstein was at the height of his musical skills. It requires divisi choral forces, Hebrew text and a boy soloist (or countertenor) in the second movement. Instrumental parts are scored for organ (plays from score), harp and percussion. Full orchestra parts are available on rental from the publisher.
