Bugle Song
A cappella
A cleverly written piece with a text by Alfred Lord Tennyson, the music at times reflects a madrigal with romantic era harmonies. The sound of the bugle is described in a rhythmic motif that is echoed and then stretched as it diminishes dynamically in a lovely chromatic descent. An effective concert piece from the American Romantic Choral Series.
