Proficient big bands will love this uptempo minor blues swinger! The melody is featured in an alto/trumpet/optional guitar small-group setting before the rest of the band enters with tasty licks in response. The solo section features room for your alto saxophonist to stretch out, followed by an open solo section with more  background licks. There's a great stop-time ensemble section with the bari sax laying down the bass line while the horns lay down some seriously funky solis. Then everything gets big - the intensity builds to a big shout before returning to the original small-group feature. Highly recommended!
