Publisher Desc.  The piece is an homage to a former student of mine who was a terrific alto saxophone player, as is why the piece begins and ends with solo alto sax. The melodic content is fairly simple and sparse, as to express gratitude but not dwell too much. The solo section in the middle can be traversed by the accomplished soloist or alternatively can be cut depending on your specific ensemble situation.
