This Brahms masterpiece is a joy to hear and a thrill to play!  Set in the bright key of D major, it retains the slur over the beat that gives the descending line its character. This line is then offset with strong unison rhythmic motives that drive the music ahead. An outstanding work to open or close any concert!  Highly recommended!
