Publisher Desc.  The composition A SONG OF ASCENTS, is an instrumental solo composed for alto flute with piano accompaniment. It was originally written as a tenor vocal solo titled PSALM 128 for my friend, Mark E Branham, who has an incredible voice. Psalm 128 is also known in Hebrew scriptures, as A song of Ascents. A SONG OF ASCENTS, is dedicated to my friend Mark E Branham, and to my sister Sandi Dorsey, who is an amazing flutist. Listening to Sandi perform on the alto flute, inspired this arrangement. I have also arranged this song as a French horn solo which is titled, PSALM 128.
