...and fall
Based on five poems about autumn by 20th- and 21st-century American poets, this song cycle celebrates the fall season and explores the themes of the swiftness of time, the passage from summer to winter, and from life to death. Set for high voice with violoncello and piano, the score includes all three parts and a separate pull-out score for the cellist. The cycle consists of: I. Sleep; II. Neighbors in October; III. All Hallows; IV. Theme in Yellow; V. November Night.
