Returning to the Piano
Ever think to yourself, "I wish I hadn't stopped playing the piano!"? If so, then this is the perfect book to help you dive back into the fun world of creating music! It allows you to play the songs you know and love, from pop tunes to folk songs to arrangements of familiar classical pieces. The book begins with a thorough review of music terms, symbols, note names, intervals, rhythm and technique. Then, the book is divided into six units progressing steadily from the late elementary to intermediate level. Each unit contains several songs and pieces in varying styles as well as further instruction to expand your musical understanding. The two enclosed CDs provide two tracks for each of the 44 songs in the book. The first track contains the piano solo with accompaniment at a slower practice tempo and the second track contains the accompaniment alone at a slightly faster tempo. The 44 songs include: Amazing Grace; Eine Kleine Nachtmusik; Forrest Gump Main Title (Feather Theme); I Walk the Line; Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring; Let It Be; The Music of the Night; Stand by Me; Sweet Home Alabama; Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and many more.
