The words are set to a tone, making it inherently practical for liturgy: Cantor and/or choir alternate phrases with the assembly, with or without accompaniment. Well suited for Ordinary Time, add the optional SATB harmonies, which can serve as alternate organ harmonizations in absence of choir, to spruce it up for more festive occasions.
